I was all for giving this book four stars but had to drop it to three stars for slight editing issues. There were some editorial mistakes that took away from the book. The ending also made me drop the rating. When you read it, you will be like why now?

Loving An Addict edition by Nicole Martin Musa Photographer Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This book have so much potential but the author didn't go that route. I got a freaking headache after I was done reading. Malachi Malachi gosh if I hear or red that name one more time smh and how the heck you going to start using after you witness why that drug can do to you, plus you have a child with special need that need you to be one hundred. The lead chick was selfish and hood rat not only did she put her kids in danger way by doing ish for black, she acts like a teenager with no responsibilities smdfh.
I'm not sure what I expected when I ordered this book . It reads more like someone's journal than it does a book. The author used part of the beginning word for word for part of the ending. Word for word. For that reason, I'm glad the book was free. The ending was weak. I won't reveal it here but it was a cop out. Based on the other parts of the book, I know she could have done better. The sad part is there are some good parts in the book and with revision and an editor, the author might just have a winner on her hands. Until then, not.
The title is crazy, and captivating all at the same time. However, I was taken on an emotional roller-coaster ride, that ended in pure.....
Loving An Addict is a relate-able story, with characters that we all have been exposed to but I have to say that Sasha was a stronger woman than me, cause he would have been gone along time ago. How many women are brought up with low self esteem, where they meet these cool dudes who prey on them and strip them of the little they have. Nicole Martin did this book justice, and the ending will having you screaming for more. Keep up the good work!

This was a good book in spite of all he negative reviews, YES Sasha was Hella Stupid, a hard working woman, with goals and 2 daughters. A woman who fell in love with a Good Looking, (working) at some points functional addict, it seemed what he functioned at or worked best at was putting it down in the bedroom! I think Sasha was sprung on the 'D'! Even though 'I' (we) can't see being as ignorant as Sasha on the real life 'who doesn't' know someone that keeps going back and we don't understand why.
Reading this book, I could see how Sasha ended up doing what she did, Look at the Risk she took for Black! (It was Black wasn't it), anyway if shed risk her life and freedom that way doin what she did why wouldn't she eventually, (risk)or try that with Malachi?
I wasn't all that surprised but I'd Hoped she wouldn't / couldn't be that Stupid!!! Oh and wasn't her father? Oooh never mind, I can't wait to read part 2!
Oh and yes I thought she was frivolous with spending the way she (they) were spending, they did mention a lot of Name brand labels and none Poplar name brands (Rainbow / 4ever21) etc...But most arthurs throw the labels around like that, and as far as the grammtical errors I've seen much worse. Before I even read the book I knew I would hate the storyline, however I wanted to give a fair review. With that said it wasn't as bad as I initially thought it would be, however there were a lot of issues with the story. It was depressing and I read for entertainment. I probably wouldn't read another book by this author, however it wasn't a horrible for a debut. It started off pretty good, and I really thought...wow this is a page turner, however it became so redundant. There was one part I know I read twice. There was too much emphasis on the clothes the characters wore. I don't care about the clothes the characters are wearing and that turned me off. By the way, Rainbow and Forever 21 are not high end department stores, they just have cute clothes that are cheap and fall apart quickly. The characters were shallow, immature and a little too ignorant for my taste. There were editing and grammatical errors, however they did not totally distract from the story. I felt like the story was too long and too dysfunctional. The ending ruined the whole story. There were no redeeming qualities in any of the characters. The author does have potential, however less is sometimes more and would make for a better story. I can not recommend this book, however it was not horrible. I'm just glad I got the opportunity to read it for free
